i heard that on an 88-89 rex the folding mirros need minor alterations b/c they are 90-91? is this true? if so what is it?

CivicRacingGirl: really? what kind of shape were they in? man thats a ton of money for a set of seats.. but they are phat. i want to be different, but not THAT different you're prolly gonna have to do a LOT of manipulation to get the seat rails to fit right to get a set of CTR or ITR seats in there... i tried putting my CRX seats in RiceburninVTECs 6th gen once, and boy is it different... good luck. let me know how it goes :thumbup:

Malfunction: no.. i dont think they do. the door shapes are i think the same between 88-89 and 90-91. inside door panels and seat belt locations are different (seatbelts were in the door in 90-91). there is one drawback however. BOTH mirrors are magnification mirrors, and the (passenger) right side mirror will not adjust correctly, because they were designed for a RHD viewing angle. Im gonna look into fixing that, but no big deal, as long as i can see something

i wish my rex was marroon... thats a bad ass color when they made those rexs....

those seats are weird looking i get all confused when i look at em...they grey or black leather?

n that hatch is sick with those door holder things...i want me a pair!

maroon was only in the DX models... i like it better than the fire engine red, but i'm not a fan of red in general :P (worked at target too long lol)

and because of the seat belt being in the door of 90-91 rexes, you can't have the door holder things.... not without some manipulation anyways, its kinda hard to tell just from looking, but i don't think it will work.

the seats are black leather, but because they are sort of shiney... they kinda look grayish from the glare

my rex used to be maroon... for a few months, heh...

anyway, rexerin, the SiR seats were in mint condition, they were absolutely flawless... the CTR or ITR seats are probably going to run me about $1600 or so for the set, so it won't be for some months now that i actually pick up a set. i have 90 hatch si seats in my rex at the moment.

hey have you checked into a ITR steering wheel? i was looking around to see if they will fit, and i was wondering if you knew

n/p, good find on the mirrors (especially since you said they are the folding ones... mmm, lol), and the seats too.

i've been thinking of the ctr or itr steering wheel, but honestly don't know if it will fit or not. if it doesn't, perhaps a hub would make it fit?
