Default b18a swap

ok so if i get the motor, tranny, ecu and axels, and a hoist, how hard is it gonna be to swap it into my '88 crx dx? All i can find are guides for b16s, i cant afford one of those yet. Any help way appreciated!

Also what's the best (as in cheapest) place to get b-series mounts?

kid

best and cheapest b series motor mounts...look on www.thepartstrader.com for used ones and other boards

since you have a dx with dpfi...it'll be more complicated b/c of the wiring...you can buy a wiring conversion kit from hasport

What? I thought B18 was more expensive than B16. But I rather have B18 cuz of the Torque.

b18a is DOHV non-vtec, i'd love a 16 but as i said ... loot

jaje, you rule ... thanks. looking now. I'm right though that i need the axels and ECU also? I read stock integra mounts might work on mine, any way withoout a welder?

oops, edited the wrong one

is this the right one? sounds the closest to mine ...

"88-91 DX to Si or ZC $ 199
Converts DX, LX, and STD dual point injection to port injection"

or is it the other one
"DX to SiR Conversion Harness

Use this harness in your DX to convert the dual point injection to port injection and also add all the necessary parts for use with DOHC VTEC engines. This harness is designed to be used with the PR3 and PW0 ECU. The harness is two parts, a complete engine harness and a sub-harness from engine to ECU.

Price $249 with exchange of your DX engine harness "

?

is that worth it? That's a lot of change for a wiring harness, i think ...

The $199 one should be the right one, it's the DPFI to MPFI swap.

dx to sir conversion is for a multiport with VTEC

integra mounts.. you probably heard that with the hasport mounts, you need the rear engine bracket from an integra.

the 1st one is just to upgrade to mpfi from dpfi (dx)...this is for non vtec engines (but easy to just add the 4 vtec activation wires)

the 2nd one adds vtec wires and converts to mpfi from dpfi (dx)

the b18a is non vtec so you only need the $199 one...you can do the wiring yourself but it's a pain in the butt

ok, i THINK i could do the wiring myself if i go by that guide ... my dad's worried the shiftlinkage sounds like a hard job, and i just wanna make sure before i commit to this guy that i know everything i need - i see people mention '89 axels in some places, will my '88s and his '90s both not work? Again, i have no welder or experience ... looking for guides, finding some info but no pics
