with 800 bucks i could have gotten a nice used turbo, intercooler, bov, and started with the piping for a turbosetup, but not bad for a little show i guess

Eh I have a Mugen Wheel, Harnesses, and a shitty header which all cost me about $600. I wouldn't regret it, its cool stuff to have. And at the time I had a D15 so its not worth doing any performance on that engine.

Too bad that doesn't come with a Distributor (of which there is not US equivalent), Alternator, wire harness, or most of the stuff you need. Then add in about $600 for mounts and linkage. So that would be about $2000 for all that stuff, not $600.
