should i cover up the wire harnesses also? and im a little scared about getting water into the spark plug holes. and how about the alternator?

The wiring harness sees more abuse driving down the road in the rain than it would from cleaning supplies and a hose.

As for the spark plug holes, your plug wires should handle that, and the alternator, just don't spray it directly and you should be fine.

awesome how to. My engine bay is pretty clean since my car is only 2 years old but I still may try it.

i actually used "simple Green" spray, water, a rag to wipe, and a rag to re wipe....and then wax what a could...

and then some wet & black on some of the shit i could...
