oil pan question?

sweet thats what i figured but i want to be sure, i know someone who badly needs an oil pan and my d15 engine is just sitting there on the garage floor, about time i rip the head off and check out the pistons so if he could use it id give it to him. thanks for the help

On 84-87's the pans aren't the same, but they're swappable, on the 88-91's I think they're the same. Mainly has to do with the shape on the '84-87's, I have a pic of it somewhere.

With the 3G it's just Si and non-Si, right? I remember hearing somewhere that some if not all aftermarket 84-87 header designs required an Si oil pan for clearance.

Yeah, that's the issue on the 3G. Like I said, I have a pic of the shape difference.

yah im specifically wondering if the 88 hf d15 engine's oil pan is a direct swap onto a 91 si d16 engine. and i believe they are but just want to make sure b4 i unbolt it all and buy a new gasket
