Get the part from Napa. Cheaper, same quality, etc. To get it out, it would be easiest to remove the strut assembly. You don't need a strut compressor, just don't take the nut off the top of the strut. Take the entire assembly out of the fork that holds it to the lower control arm. Once the strut is out, unbolt and pop the upper joint. Then unbolt the upper A arm from the strut tower, and it should fall right out. Press the balljoint out, and replace it.

Well, did some more research today and I found a ball joint (and arm) for 81.51 CDN and a wheel bearing assembly (hub) for 130 CDN. My Dad is going to do the labour next weekend. That means I have to drive three hours first, but hey, free labour.
I think what I'm going to do is put the savings towards a new 'front pipe' ...sigh...I'll let you guys know.

Does anyone know where I can find a good price on a "helms" for my car specifically?

Does anyone know where I can get a good diagram online of various 'exploded' view of my car? I used to go to http://www.quickhonda.net/index2.htm...Quickhonda's site but he seems to have removed his 'service manual for some reason??? Anyone frequent there and know why?

id really consider investing in a helms or haynes manual for ur particular car, it will help u with all of these replacements and will help u keep away from the expensive "professional mechanic" mine has proved to be invaluable for all the information it has provided me with over the years ive worked on crx's

Well, I now have a Ball Joint / Control Arm assembly in my hand, and a Wheel Bearing Assembly in my hand...$243 CDN later...sigh...now this weekend they will be installed by my Dad and I saving on the labour...providing we don't run into any glitches or need special tools..."knock knock" (knocking on wood)

Wish me luck! I'll let you know how it turns out!

Hey....... i'm in the middle of my d16a6 overhaul, my header and "pipe" are lying on the garage floor. I was going to sell it on ebay, but for 40 bucks its yours. I'm waiting on my OBX performance 4-2-1 header to come.

I got a D15B1...don't think that's compatible...or at least I don't think?...besides...the new "pipe" is on!

What are you selling the header and the pipe...or just the pipe...if it's the header...a stock header? and aftermarket...will it fit my engine? I might be interested...Let me know...
