Which Tire configuration?
Ive decided to get 16's for the crx but I need help on the tire i should get with it. What configuration should i get with the 16's. I dont no jack bout tires but i think this may go good. 205/65/zr16. Will a 205 and 65(whatever this number is) work well or is there a better configuration. Also what is one of the best tire brands.(Ive heard alot about yokohamas) I plan on my car being a daily driver to school but also im gonna street and drag race it every one in a while. Thanks

no a 205 65 will not work 65 is the sidewall size and thats the same as factory spec, the tires will rub because of how tall they are, go with a 205 45 16 tire, you can do a yokohama parada spec 2 those are decent. every body that i know that has had kumho ecsta supra 712s has like them untill they lost grip and wrecked their cars with them.... so tire is all on you.

Try this to help gauge how much bigger you'll go over the stock size

I suggest a nice set of 15 x 6.5"...because the bigger and heavier the wheel the slower you're acceleration will be...larger diameter wheels will also accelerate the car slower

If you're getting them for Daily driving, DON'T get the Falken Alzenis (spl?). I have them. They are horrible in snow/rain. They grab onto every crack/bump/nook in the road.
I would however recommend them for Auto-X use. They are fantastic on dry pavement.

i liked dunlop sp8000s (unidirectional) for all weather performance at a reasonable price...sp5000s are also a good tire that are not unidirectional and get decent all weather grip and treadlife (i have been racing my pr5 with the stock sp5000s and they give you decent grip)

the original paradas were far outperformed by the falken azenies, even though they looked almost the same. be sure to check actual reviews of the new paradas

go with the 205/40's they look so much better and once you lower it they won't scrape at all, ever unlike my 205/50's on my lowered crx
o yeah, they are 16's just to be clear
