Regardless of what hood is used [it's easier to use a CRX hood], modifications have to be done to get them it to fit around the headlights, which is where most of those conversions end up looking like crap.

No, it is a CRX hood. The DA9 hood is raised in the middle, and the raised portion begins between the headlights. Mind you, I used to own a DA9 so I am quite fimiliar with the hood.
