You can but it will most likely peel like ass once it gets hot. A whole good tint job is like $200, just spend the money. Some things aren't worth DIY'ing.
I do my own tinting, the trick is to trim smoothly, and buy high quality film. Cheap film never sticks right [for long]. Also invest in a good small squeege and plenty of glass cleaner if you plan to do much of it.

I did my rear hatch windows myself since its only 6 screws and its nice to be able to have the window out to do it. The hatch still has to be done I have had no time.
