Default proper procedure for clearing DTC's from ECU

What is the right way to erase the fault memory on the ECU? I know I'm supposed to pull a fuse or fuses, but which one(s)? I've heard that I can pull either the clock/radio fuse, OR the ECU fuse. Will both of them erase the fault memory?

Do I pull the fuse with the ignition turned on? or off? Will it hurt the ECU if the fuse is pulled while the ignition is on? Hopefully someone knows this. Thanks

nah in order to reset the ecu u either pull the hazard fuse under the hood, its like a 10 amp fuse (red) or just disconnect ur battery for 30 seconds. that will reset everything.

Pull the Hazard fuse. It will reset the ECU without erasing things such as your clock memory or stereo pre-sets.
