Should I upgrade the mid exahsut pipe?
I swaped in a d16z6 (sohc vtec) in my 91 CRX SI and have a dc sports 4-2-1 header and ansa axle back muffler. I still have the stock cat to axle back piping. I'm assuming the vtec engine flows more air than the stock a6 motor.
Do you think I would notice a difference in getting a slightly larger diameter mid pipe and possibly high flow cat?
And no I'm not talking about 3"+ piping. Maybe 2 1/4 to 2.5".
Also has anyone that swapped in a b16 or so ran it with the stock exhaust then put a catback on and noticed a big difference?

You would notice an increase in power. I'd personally go 2.25" dia piping. It will be LOUD also, so keep that in mind.

Do it. But if you have the money go with a nice full Cat-back.

I had a brosal cat-catback on my 5th Gen Si (d16z6) and loved the tone. It was deep when you got on it, no bumblebee sound. It was pretty quiet too when you're just regular daily driving.
