Yeah, but you have to do everything that is nessicary to put an B-series in a 4G, plus a major rewiring job and total fuel system swap. I personally would not even attempt this swap unless I had a lot of free time, money, and wanted a really fast car.

I'm with Kai, the '84 is really light, but unless you're just hell-bent on a fuel injected engine swap, it's not worth the time.

BTW, are you totally against carburetors?

Totally against carburetors?

Who, me?

I'll have to think about that one.

No, the other guy

A fully built carb'd engine will still be pricey, but not as in depth on the mounting and wiring issues.

Oh h: For some reason I'm thinking the carb'd browntop ZC would be ideal for this job. Assuming he can actually find one of those things. Bolts right in with no significant mods.

Yes I am. I HATE :madfawk:   carburators.

FI is so much simpler and I prefer plug & play type stuff.

But th each his own. Some people are the opposite and prefer Carb's

HAHA, FI is so much simpler on an '84 CRX...

As you said, whatever floats your boat, but my carbs were much simpler than a conversion and I'm making around 145 HP at the crank. Good luck with whatever you decide.

carbs are a lost art to me, left for those old timers and those 21 year olds with a concept of how they work, fuel injection is my preferred application but thats only cuz that is what i understand.

It doesn't take any understanding of fuel injection to use it or to even tune with it. If you really understood fuel injection, you'd understand just how similar carburetion is to fuel injection. The main difference lies in how critical air flow past the fuel dispersion point is, but I'll just leave it at that.

yah i'm sure if i learned the terminology id be able to understand it but ive never even really taken the time the look at a carburator let alone to try understand it, i just remember trying to rebuild one at about the age of 16 and remember that once i got it all taken apart i was pretty much screwed and that car never worked again. maybe when i get the time ill pull out my haynes and read the other side of the page and figure out how it all works. as for now ill stick with my fi, my idle changing screw, my ecu controlled fuel/air system, and all the other luxuries of the wonder called fuel injection. i dont believe one is any better than another just someones preference, id rather use a s-afc and have a fuel/air map in front of me to figure out whats happening, i have no clue what carburation entails.
