Identifying a 1st gen..
Hey, im trying to find a decent 1st gen CRX Si.. only thing is im not sure how to tell one from the other carb'd CRXs unless im able to look under the hood. like this car for example:
Guy says its an 87 CRX..dont know what model. What kind of body features sets it apart from the other first gens? wheels, two tone paint, anything really.

The 1986-87 Si has a spoiler like this:
The 1985 Si has a spoiler like this:
And all Si models had a sunroof. I think the 1986-87 Si models had body colored bumpers and the 1985s were two tone.

all Si's had sunroofs and fuel injection, with alloy wheels. [13" in '85, 14" all others]
DX's have cast iron rear drum brakes, and 13" steel wheels with hub caps [if not missing]. Factory options for the DX were rear window louvers, and mudflaps
HF's have aluminum rear drum brakes, 13" wheels, no hubcaps
'85, two-tone paint, color over silver, recessed headlights.
'86, two-tone paint, color over grey, flush headlights
'87, solid color paint, flush headlights
The pic of the blue '85 Si has the stock factory alloys, the '86 and '87 had the 4 circle alloy wheels.
The orginal picture is an '86 DX, assuming everything is stock on it, those are factory hub caps.
I may be off, but these are the guidlines I use when looking at first gens, and I've yet to mis-identify a car.
