Default warm heat-cold heat

Anyone know what causes the heater to blow warm then cold then warm air etc, with no change in controls, rpm, etc after the car has warmed up? Vacuum leak?
Thankx,

id say heater core as well, if its blowing than its not the motor and it kinda narrows it down

i priced these recently and the one for an 89 si was gonna run $140 so id say go to a junkyard first b4 buying one new

i couldnt figure out why it was so much, i mean u can get one new for like 40 bux for a ford truck or something

check your fluid level , if its low it wont circulate properly through the heatercore.

DOD,
Thanks, good call. Half full radiator with air, sample size coolant bottles = poor circulation. Filled and removed the air...much gooder.
Thanx !
