Yeah, I agree with Bogatyr, sounds like a stuck open thermostat. Everyone else in this thread just sounds confused on the issue.

Drain the radiator, follow the lower radiator hose to the engine, remove the hose and cover at that location, remove the old thermostat, replace, reverse the disassembly steps to put it all back together.

you don't HAVE to drain it, it's just a lot less messy.

Really, all you have to do is drain the coolant level below the bottom of the lower radiator hose where it meets the thermostat housing. Heh, how do you tell that? I dunno, just drain about a quart or so out.
When you refill, remember to burp the system via the bleed valve which should be located at the front side of the engine near the other radiator hose.

my cousin said all i should do is go to my firends house and drain about a quart below the thermo **** in to my firends rocky drive way, and then replace it, and just replace the antifreeze..

like it was said...you don't have to...but it's really easy...just stick a bucket underneath loosen the drain bolt and leave for 15 minutes...just watch out for animals if you have any b/c antifreeze smells sickly sweet and dogs will drink it

well its still gonna leak outta the main ****, all the antifreeze is in lines of the eng.
