Default Is there a write-up for LS engine swap?

I was wondering if there was a write-up for a Teg LS engine into a Civic DX HB. I'm looking to do this swap but wanted to know everything that I was going to need for the swap. Also, since the tranny needs to be swapped for a manual, should I get a manual from a Civic or use the one from the Teg LS? Thanks in advance for any info.

Manual wise....if you want to rebuild the engine, get the Teg one, if you want stuff for the body of the car, get the CRX one. I'd recommend getting both!!

It's a straight forward swap if you get a 94-95 engine. Good luck with the auto to manual swap, you're going to need a few more parts. The transmission mount won't work either, you'll have to get one custom made or get a place racing one which I heard isn't that good.

Woah, slow down there, buddy. You must be thinking 5th gen, 4th gens need a mount kit and backdated electronics (or the use of a 90-91 B18A1 "LS" engine and matching OBD-0 PR4 ECU) not to mention the MPFI conversion.

If you want to do a B-series swap, you must use a B-series transmission, in this case the Integra unit, though I would recommend a 92-93 GS-R transmission if you can find one.

Thanks for the info so far,but there isn't a site with a write-up or anything? And where do I get a mount kit if I'm using the LS engine and tranny?I heard that the LS gears are longer and good for turbo which is what I'm planning.

well, here's a little tidbit:

http://www.hasport.com/Tech/Hasport%20Tech.htm

Swaps are pretty much unbolting the old, bolting in the new, and then changing the wires all around to match. HAsport sells some good conversion harnesses, too.

:slap:
That's not the case, not even close. Here is the reason the GS-R YS1 transaxle is worth so much more then the RS/LS/GS YS1:

YS1 (92-93 GS-R, B17A1)
1st--3.307
2nd--2.105
3rd--1.458
4th--1.107
5th--0.880
Rev--3.000
Final-4.400

YS1 (90-93 RS/LS/GS B18A1)
1st--3.166
2nd--1.857
3rd--1.259
4th--0.935
5th--0.742
Rev--3.000
Final--4.400

HAsport is the company you want mounts from, many places retail them or you can usually find good deals at thepartstrader.com.

The LS transaxle is indeed better for turbo.

Thanks for all the info and links people, appreciate it.

ISP James- I'd love to take that engine but this project won't take place for a while since I still have to buy the civic from my girl. Just trying to do some research to see what the best options for me are and what's the most affordable. Thanks though.
