Default 87 DX Hatch speaker locations?

I thought I might get a better response here.
Are there front and rear speakers and if yes where. I need to tap them for the line level in on my amp.

Yes, there are fronts in the door in the normal location (bottom front, behind the speaker grill). You probably do not have rears, though, they were supposedly and option though I have never seen a 3rd gen chassis with rear speakers. I have been told they were all wired for them, but where they mount or where the plugs are, I don't know.

I talked with minus on AIM, and basically told him the same thing.

If it helps at all, the first gen CRX Si had rear speaker mounts that fit over the rear shocks and held 6.5"s. Just a shaped metal bracket that bolted right in my CRX, don't know how similar the hatch is though.

The non Si modles didn't have the rear speakers in them. You can get the panels from an Si and put them in the sides by the back seat in the recesses and put speakers in there. There is lots of room for speakers on the pasengers side but it is a little tight on the drivers side because of the fuel filler. I was able to fit 6 1/2" alpines in mine after denting the fuel filler cavity out a little.
