I'd like to get a set of Ground Control coilovers for autocrossing. But, will I need a camber kit if the car is lowered 2.5 inches or so? I need to know how much money to save up before I buy my toys.

YES. Plan on about $300 total, depending on which you buy and where. I should think you could do the setup I have for that using Specialty Products or Ingalls parts front and rear. You may be able to save a bit in the back by using the Progress shim kit.
Everything depends on how far out of spec you are and how much Camber you need to have for the type of event you plan to run along with street use.
Good luck

For a drop that low I wouldn't get the ingalls for the front. I just put mine on and went to get it aligned, they said there wasn't enough room to adjust it out. I was told there is a kit that takes the place of the ball joint @ the end of the wishbone. I was told it cost ~$380. Does anyone know where to get these balljoint kits?

It all depends on how far out of spec you are. Both Ingalls and Specialty have a replacement upper control arm. I believe that Progress also offers something for the front.
I am stuck with using the Specialty products "eccentric bushing anchor bolt" kit on my Si for Improved Touring-as that is what is allowed up front.

Ingalls' site claims the replacement upper A-arm kit is only for the EK. King Motorsports and skunk2 also sell replacement adjustable A-arms. I'm clueless on the fitmet, it's late.

Not only tire wear, but if you have too much camber, you simply won't be able to use the full contact patch of the tire in cornering, no matter how hard you push the limits.
