Default Rear view mirror removal

How do I remove the review mirror from my 91 civic HB.
It seems like there is a scerw under that mounting base
but I can't seem to figure out how to get at it.

Do I pry that base off or something..

its just glue to the glass. you could try heat gun around the area, that might do it, otherwise call autoglass specialists or someone in your area, they might have a solution to get it off.

It's not the part on the glass, its the part on the roof.
It's a little differnet than the rex.

Actually I use a rex manual, so when it comes to body
panels and stuff like this, I always get sorta screwed.

So pry it from the sides or the front?

Where does it look like it's screwed down?

I know on my first gen [rear view is attached to the roof] there's a plastic cover that once you take that off you can see two philip's head screws that you just take out and the mirror's off.

Since when do any Hondas have the mirror glued to the glass. Every one I have seen has had it bolted to the roof.

I think they're talking about the rubber piece on the post.
Anyway...

I can't get the cover off, I know it's bolted underneath and I
keep prying at the cover but i'm not getting anywhere... It's
just mashing the cover.

How is that F$$kin' cover on there? Are there snaps on both
sides or something.

Does anyone have a manual for a civic?
