Strange noise coming from dash
I'm starting to get this annoying sound when I'm going 25+ mph. Sometimes i get it at 20mph. It seems to be the loudest when going downhill. I can be in neutral and it will still make the sound. It sounds like it's coming from behind the center console. What could be the problem and how can it be fixed? Thanks.
My car is a '90 CRX dx.

Could you give a little more description of the noise. Is it buzzing is it more of a wining noise. When did you first start hearing the noise what might have caused it.

Maybe something isn't bolted/screwed down tight and it's making that noise. Go touch parts of the interior and see if the sound goes away when you press on it.

I know this probably isn't it but does the noise change at all when you push in the the clutch pedal. I sold my dx and I saw it the other day and it has bearing noise that is audible till about 30 mph and then its quiet. Try popping the hood and giving it some gas maybe the alt is going bad. BUt also take off you center console check all your bolts and screws and make sure the plastic pieces are lined up or they will rub and make stupid noises.
