Default tranny noises

i get some annoying noises in between 2nd. and 3rd. gear. It sounds like a whine of some sort. please help me out, thanks.

I would recommend changing you tranny fluid. Do you have any grinding between shifts. I had a slight whining noise and I had the fluid changed and it was fine and actually started shifting better.

along with the fluid change, add some Lucas Oil into the mix. I had a very crunchy 3rd gear synchro in my transmission, and using a 20% Lucas Oil mixture with 10/30 motor oil, I all but eliminated the grind. You can get Lucas Oil at any Napa parts store. Use it in the engine, too, it's great stuff.

i say change the tranny fluid to but i wouldnt add anything additives
just run honda oem MTF

about 2 quarts of 10w30 will do the trick too.

a whine? syncros are failing. theyre brass. if the new fluid dont fix its time for a rebuild.
