ok noob. I will somewhat dignify this with an answer. If it is a b16a1, it does have the numeral printed on the case. If it doesnt it is jdm. The numeral shows which market it is produced for.

I have a 88 CRX I got from original owner and it's a wonderful car.
224000 miles and still pretty good car with just a ring/valve job.
I've always heard that the last year or two of a series was the best to have because it has the most improvements and options though.
