Which tranny for 88 civic w/ZC is best? Si or ZC?
I have the 88 Civic DX with the ZC motor and now the car is fun to drive. I am thinking of upgrading my tranny from the stock DX to either the Si or the ZC. Which will give me better performance? For the ZC can I use the 90-93 Integra axles? If so is there any other mods to be done for the ZC tranny?

the Si transmission will give you quicker acceleration than the ZC - the Si will also be slightly less rpm in 4th and 5th gears - only slightly though, about 1% less in 4th and about 4% less in 5th

are you wanting to convert from auto to manual? - the Si didn't come with auto transmission - the ZC auto transmission is same gearing as the DX, just uses intermediate shaft and larger Integra type axles

No, I want to keep it auto. So I guess I will keep the stock tranny 'cause What I think you're saying is in an auto tranny the DX tranny and the ZC tranny are basically the same. Is that right?
