Default How do I calculate the socket size...

When your given the bolt size, i.e. 10mmX 1.25, how do
you calculated the size of the socket you need. Is there
a formaula or something?

I'm not sure if you can, I think it's just sort of around the size of the bolt. For an M10 I would say it's going to be 14mm. 10mm is the size of the bolt, and 1.25 is the pitch, but I'm not sure they correlate a size. I tried doing it before and it never seemed to turn out a logical answer.

Okay, I know you know your stuff about the hatches...

Did you ever put springs or struts on your car before?

I need to borrow some tools from work, and was wondering
what sockets to grab (The guy here is real picky...). The
manual says the nuts I need to remove are 10M X 1.25 and
12M X 1.25...

So your say 14mm for the 10. what would you say for the 12?
17mm??

Thanks....

On a Honda, a 10, 12, 14, 17 and 19 mm socket will take off pretty much every fastener.
