What's the difference between the 4.26 & 4.40 final drive?

You can plug the numbers into a gear calculator to find the exact differences.

Thanks Shriver, but I was asking what's the difference between the 4.266 vs 4.400. Is one for a faster take off or lower rpm's in 5th. That's what I was trying to figure out.
For example: like the Jdm Type R people talk about the different final drive vs the US final drive Type R.

a higher number final drive (4.44 vs 4.26) will give you the effect of shorter gearing overall. you'll see better acceleration, quicker take-offs, etc. on the downside, you'll see higher rpms at highway speeds, earlier shift points, etc.
