Default 89 civic hatch B18 What 2 do about my comression?

i need some help about my hatch i put a rebuilt b18a1 in it last summber and i burnt out the valve seals so it smokes when it been sitting for 5min or so anyways i just checked my compression and all cylinders have only 130 PSI no more no less but shouldnt it be more like 175-190PSI? what should i do???

did you do the test with the engine warm and throttle wide open?

warm yes but not with the throttle wide open what does that do?

the throttle has to be wide open to get correct numbers. also try the tests with a capful of oil in each cylinder.

ok well i just checked agen with the throttle wide open and a cap full of oil and still no change car was warm too still only 130PSI could it be my catback muffler system? its 2 1/4" but still the motor only has 21xxxKms on it since the rebuild and it was only the bottem end could my head be done? let me know what you think

forgot to mention this, did you remove the ecu fuse and have all the plugs out?

the actual numbers themselves arent as important as the variance between them. as numbers will differ depending on lots of things, even from different compression testers.

yes i pulled all the plugs but not the ecu fuse and the numbers did not move at all thay stayed at 130psi wet and dry all cylinders ?

Sounds like the valve stem selas were not replaced.

ok did that test for the 4th time an still no change in the comression ...any ideas?

i havnt changed anything yett im going to do the valve and stem seals at the same time i know that will stop my smoking but do you think it will bring my comression back up that much 30PSI ?

SOME ONE PLEASE HELP I NEED MY HP BACK...
