car boggs when floored
Alright, I have an 89 si hatch w/ obdo b16 in it. When the pedal is put to the floor the car will jolt foward like heavy brakeing and decelerate which is really weird. I can only give the car about 90 percent throttle without it doing this. Could it be fuel cutting out? Ive got new cap and roter w/ plugs. I still am using the stock si fuel pump. One thing though, I need to replace my fuel injectors b/c they are starting to make alot of irregular noises that sound almost like valve tap. The reason I think that it isnt valve tap b/c it does it at random intervals, a friend told me that fuel injectors have little floats in them that open and close when a charge hits the injector. Anyways, could you guys give me any advice? Fuel cut causing my car to jolt forward at heavy gassing?

check your spark plug wires. i had the same bogging problem and it ended up being oil fowling up the plug wires. I had to get new wires, and fix the 4 seals in the valve cover.

It could be your fuel pump/injetors. It could also be your igniter, coil, plug wires. I had a simular problem with mine and it was everything with the distributor. The cap, rotor, coil, igniter, plugs, and wires.
As I replaced them one by one the car started driving better and better untill it was perfect. Wasn't fuel at all.
I would buy some spark plug wires and see if it does alittle better before you spend alot of money on fuel parts. I drove my car with a new cap and rotor on for awhile while it was doing this and I had to replace them again when I did the rest of the ignition.
If its an ignition problem you may want to repalce everything again if you drove it awhile after replacing the cap and rotor/ plugs while still having this problem.
Hope this helps.

Well, did all that to no avail. Here's an interesting note though. When the pedal is put to the floor in neutral the car's revs bounce between 1 and 2 grand. I'm throwing codes for knock sensor, IACV, and Map...My car isnt in limp mode though. Also, I replaced the Map with another one and the code is still there, any advice??
