They fragged the newbie topic!
B/c the newbie ? topic got fragged, I'll ask here...
I have never pulled an engine, but I have some auto smarts from keeping an old clunker going. If I buy an older civ, I am told to switch engines to some b16... How much is Emmit (auto shop) going to charge to make the changes to a different type motor?
Also, where do I find the motor, and verify that it works?
OK sorry admin, I wanted to get this in the engine swaps topic

Are a few places you can find engines. Warranties vary amongst sites.
Not sure how much it costs to have someone else do the swap.

there is a soko in illinois so you could pick it up yourself if you wanted to save some cash. You don't have to swap engines right away unless your buying a junker that doesn't run. A stock honda is actually fun to drive and there are a couple other engine choices out there to choose from that will be cheaper and somewhat easier to install.
