check your fuel injector seals, see if they are leaking fuel. that would cause a hesitation because your car is running lean, also check all vacuum lines to the intake manifold. I highly doubt it is your fuel filter. change out your rotor on your distributor (very cheap and easy to do). umm. you said you changed all your wires and plugs right...make sure your sensors are connected. then let us know.

oh yeah one more thing for ya, it might be your tps.....Throttle Position Sensor. It is right behind your intake manifold. a quick check would be to unplug it then try and drive it, the ecu will set a default setting for it, it wont be exactly right, but if thats what the problem is, at least you will know and can take it somewhere to get it fixed.

If TPS sensor was bad what exactly would be the symptoms? would that include auto not shifting into gear? or at least not immediately reactive to acceleration.
