91 CRX HF with 1.6 swap throwing a ton of codes, stalls, runs terrible
I am trying to help one of my buddies fix his CRX. You can start the car fine (sometimes, I'll get to that in a minute), then you hear the main relay start clicking erratically, the check engine light comes on, then the car starts to misfire and run very badly. I pulled back the carpet, and I got just about every code in the book. 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 11, 14, and 20 (I may be incorrect on one or two of those).
one of the codes mentions something about loss of ground to the ECU, or a short in the ECU.
I checked the battery voltage - 12.6v
I checked it when it's running - 14.2v
I checked the Throttle position sensor - it shows .42v at idle
I'm going to start checking grounds right now. I don't know where else to go with this. Any input is appreciated.

check the ground wire that comes out of the engine harness and connects to a bolt on the thermostat housing - it actually has 4 ground wires connected to one ring connector - these grounds are for the ECU, Main Relay and most of the sensors

I seriously don't have this ground harness in sight. It's a D16A6 engine with a manual transmission.

I found the thermostat ground, cleaned it, now I have a solid check engine light on.
It's a PM5 computer with a D16A6 engine. At this point, I got rid of the codes, but I have a solid check engine light and a solid light on at the computer.
My RPM is limited to about 3,400 RPM and my idle sits at 1900-2000 RPM. If I rev the engine, it revs quick, up to 3,400 where it just bounces.
What should I do? Where should I start?

are U sure it's a PM5 as it's a dual point Dx ecu the HF should have a PM8 ECU your engine should have EGR valve on it . double check that ground that you cleaned since that happened after you cleaned it but chack the voltage @ the ecu pins if 12v replace the ECU !
