im sorry i thought u were talking about the full coilover. well if u just get a "coil over sleve" then nah u can still use ur shocks. but i would go with some other shocks. like kyb or koni maybe even some new stockers.

There are a few dealers on ebay that sell Tokico, KYB, and Koni (Koni = $$$) shocks and matching (meaning the spring rate matches the shortened spring) spring sets (1.25" drop front, 1.00" rear; less affect on the camber; 2" drop all around would probably require adjustable camber kits front and rear to keep tire from wearing on the inside edges) for $350 to $500 depending on if you want performance non-adjustable or adjustable shocks.
I ordered from Motorsports Direct, Las Vegas, NV: good service, straight forward transaction. Tokico HP Blues, kept the stock springs.
Other things to look at:
-rear trailing arm bushings (good chance they're trashed on your car)
-adding or changing sway bars
-adding bars on the top of your strut towers (front and rear)

The only opinion that matters is yours.
Coil over sleeves offer adjustability (you can play with ride height as much as you want).
But, if your car is just a daily driver, get some Tokico HP blues and a matching set of lowering springs (or keep the stock springs). Keep it simple = Less head ache because there's no messing around trying to get everything adjusted correctly, no worry about spring rate matching the shocks and ride height.
Also, if you're going to install the shocks and springs get a set of spring compressors and follow their directions. When the suspension springs are compressed by the shocks, they store a great deal of power. (read: broken bones or worse if things go wrong when changing out shocks/springs)
