Default s1 to a1 tranny???

i got s1 tranny but its grinding 2nd & 3rd when quick shifting but its ok on regular driving.. my friend gave me a1 tranny.. the thing is i dunno whats d problem wit d s1.. should i put d a1.. i dunno if its jdm or usdm s1.. can someone help me on this 1..

it doesn't matter.. chances are your syncs are going bad, might as well replace the tranny and fix the problem. cheaper to fix the syncs, rather than looking for a tranny, or rebuilding your old tranny

so u mean keep my old one & change syncs?

you can swap them out and if both trans feels the same, then your S1, and A1 are USDM if they feel different then the S1 is JDM. you can always switch out the syncro from the A1 into your S1, or just leave the A1 in and rebuild the S1, and swap them. it's always nice to have a spare trans for these kinds of things. >.< just having space for them can be a problem


(I have a spare bedroom with an extra motor/trans sitting in the middle of the room ahahah)
