okay so i have a 90-crx dx 1.5 liter and im getting about 14mpg and that is not right! okay this is what happend i just got the car after new clutch and tranny put in and i was driving it around seemed to be getting pretty good gas mileage. i gave it some gas after dropping it into 3 nothing to big and it instantly started smelling horrible like gas and smoke. then i lost all control of the throttle and soon after the car died and wouldnt stay started so i towed it to my house and started trying to figure out what was going on and so i went to honda and they said to replace the fuel pump and filter so i did. then it still wouldnt work so then i checked my rotor and it was fried so i got a new cap/rotor/plugs/wires/o2censor/distibutor and also got it timed and after all of that still 14mpg and i dont get it not gas leaks anywhere! yea and im running real rich!

i know its alot to swallow so thanks for your help!!

sounds like a bad (stuck open) injector to me

Update.... i just checked my ecu and there is a red light blinking does this mean it is throwing codes?
and antoher thing the person that sold me the car took out the check engine light cuz it doesnt come on when i start the car.

alright well it turns out that my ecu was throwing codes and heres what they were (7)throttle angle,(5)map sensor, and (16) fuel injector so those are my problems and now i need to fix them!

well i messed with the throttle angle sensor and so now the ecu isnt throwing that code and i got it to idle a little bit smoother then i shut it off but now its doing a number 1 wich is oxygen content and now the car just wont even start
