Default Please help, car acting weird.....

Ok, so I have a 91 Civic (auto, stock). Nothing major, but intake and exhaust. I got my starter installed about 3 weeks ago, and after I left the shop, when I would hit the breaks, my stereo would loose power for like 2 seconds, and then come back on. Sometimes, the dashboard lights are very dim when I try to turn it on. It still does it to this day. I've checked the ignition switch, and continuity of power to it from the battery, and it's fine. But when I plug it back into the fuse box, the lights dim back again. Could the starter terminals loose cause this problem? What I do to start the car is disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes, re-connect it and then everything comes on. But after running for like 4 or 5 minutes, the stereo might start doing that. It doesn't do it all the time, but I would have to say 1/2 the time. PLEASE HELP!

You need to go back to the electrical component that was changed (i.e., starter) and work from there. Most of the time electrical problems can be traced back to what was changed/worked on last. Keep in mind this isn't always the case, but it's a good place to start.

Agreed, the wire coming form you batter to ur starter then from ur starter to ur main fuse box in the engine may be loose.
