Expect to pay alot, close to 8-10k for a complete K swap with everything youd need...

If u ask me, its not worth it... Maybe when the costs come down some... But just as much power can be made with a B series cheaper...

As for the DPFI to MPFI, yes Id say 100 or so HP would be about how much youd gain... If its the DX tho... When you said "4 speed" is that 4 speed manual or 4 speed auto?

Ah, then I believe jlicrx is right... It is probably an STD instead of a DX... Those are the only ones that came with the 4 speed standard stock... That or someone swapped the 5 speed for the 4 speed (which I cant see someone doing)... I f its an STD, its got 70 HP like stated... The STDs and their engines are a mysterious breed... Some ppl and sites say they are 8 valves, some say 16, Honda parts sites list them as 16... Your valve cover does say 16, so Im sure yours is 16 valves... Id really like to know for sure tho, if they came with both 8 and 16 or just one or the other...

They are 16v, but there are a few odd things in the engine... the throttle body, the cam, and a few other odd peices were changed to choke the engine down. There was a really good post about this a while back, I'll try to find it.

i think the 88-89 were 8 valves(d15b1), and the 90-91 were 16 valves(d15b2)... the mpfi swap is one of the best things you can do to your car. its one mod that is helping you now and will help you and work in conjunction to other mods/swaps down the road from now. we did one on my buddys crx it made a huge diffrence. it ran a 18.5 or something like that and after the swap it ran a 16.5 so you figure 2 seconds is deffinitly worth the swap

my d15b1 IS 16 valve, but im swapping the head with a d16z6 head cuz it had less mileage on it.
