Default does 1989 crx tail light fit 1990 crx si?

I need to replace my driver side tail light on my 90 crx si. My friend is selling me his 89 crx tail light. Will it bolt on perfectly, no modifications? WIll the light look different?

It will bolt in sure... But they look different... So it wont match the center peice or the pass side... The 90-91 tails have a dark red outter lip on them... The 88-89s dont... You will also need to use the harness from the original 90 tail light...

Newer style (these are actually UKDM/EDM 90-91s but the US spec 90-91s look the same minus the VTEC, wrap around amber lenses and the red foglight):

Older style:

^^^^^ Correct!!!

Here is my car,1991 Crx Si, as i was swapping my 90/91 tails out and putting 88/89 tails on since i like the look of the 88/89 ones better.
The older style(88/89) is on the right/passenger side and the 90-91 is on the driver side. Click the pic for a larger view, Look and you can see the difference.

well i never knew there was a curse...i feel honored...but then again this totally sucks cause if i ever get her fixed... i was gonna get it painted the same color...why does the honda god REX do this to me...

this would explain why since day one people have been trying to hurt bestie. 1.) i have had a fender bender 'cause a lady turned into my lane (i was in a turn only and she was in a strait lane) 2.) a dude in the target parking lot backed into me as i was driving (no damage) 3.) impatient driver tried to get to the left turn lane but it was blocked so he drove on the median ans skimmed betsie (left a black run on the side of the car that wiped of and chipped some paint). wow she is cursed
