how much money do you have to spend and what are your goals. i hav e3 favorite engines. the b18b, the h22a, and the k20. the b18 is the most versatile and can accept a vtec head rather easily and are very abundant. the h22a's are basiclly honda big blocks, and the k20's are just cool as hell

you need to do some research first man. i could spend 15k on building a motor and it wouldnt necessarily be the fastest

you could keep spending money forever.. you can dump $200,000 into your engine and still be no where near the fastest. set a HP goal or a money limit and go from there..

if money is no concern, id blow an alcohol 4-rotor mazda 13b, have custom engine mounts and RWD driveline made, and gut the interior.. that otta be good for 1500hp+

a b18c would probably your best bet. most bang for the buck besides the h22 but you also need to tell us what your using your car for autox, drag, or do you just want a fast car. if thats the case i would do a b20 block b18 head and turbo. b20 block=torque+b18 vtec head=breath+turbo=1 hell of a hp combo.

The best enine to put into your hatch is a chevy big block!!! Falls right in with a little work!

Home many more times can this EXACT type of question be asked..."What is the best/fastest motor to put into my HONDA? I want to be able to beat anything when i race!"

All these noobs act like they are doing something new & earth shattering but yet have no clue how to reasearch and develope and opinion or thought of their own!

and yes i agree dont like bashing creators of threads but that is a very general question its kind of asking what is the best house i can build for my new lot. (kind of dumb analogy but thats all i can think of at the time haha) there are so many variables there isnt a correct answer w/o asking yourself tons of questions (budget, purpose ect ect.) also there are tons of threads and faq's on the very question you just asked, and remeber the longer you take to reserch and deisign what you want that fulfills you budget needs and prupose the better your motor will be.
