Default speedometer problem

I did a mini swap on my 89 crx. new piston, ported head, new valve and etc. took it down for a good run down. Car pull very on all gear from 1-5. but my question is the speedometer only goes up to 80. But I still can feel the car pull when I floor it down. Is there a limited speed on the 89 crx speedometer?

It may only go up to 80 it depends on far the ECU will let you go.

If your car keeps going then it keeps going...the limiter is in the ECU not the speedometer...you might be able to find an after market speedometer youll have to look though.

I would still keep my eyes on the REV meter...just cause your engine can keep going doesnt mean you should.
