Default New alternator with no charging

Folks- 89 Civic HB, new alternator, (4 months ago) battery going flat, 12.75v at idle across the battery terminals. Before I pull the alternator and take to be tested, has anyone ever heard of the plug (going to alternator) becomming corroded and mesing up the connection? PS I live in snow country. Thanks! Dave

It should be around 12 volts with the car off and around 14 to 15 with it running. Sounds to me, you got a lemon alternator, or have bad connections like you said.

Default alternator

Yeah, think I'll check the ground connection first. I dont love the idea of digging out that alternator. Dave
