Default Interchangeable clusters...????

Hey guys, hope everyone's roll'in safe out there.
Can I interchange a Civic cluster 1988-1992 (LX, EX) that has a RPM gauge with the one I currently have with my 88 Civic DX (that does not have a tach on it)? I hope all the connections are there? Let me know guys..would love to see my RPM's as I roll..
Thx.

Stick to an 88-89 cluster and it should plug up... FGH used to have a write-up on his page, but both him and his site are long gone.

88-89 clusters are different from 90-91s. I'm not quite sure if u can use a civic lx cluster. Just bring your cluster w/ u when u go to the parts yard. Compare the plugs on the back.

Hey iv done this cluster swap twice, went through about 3 or 4 clusters all together, (I was making white guages, and messed two of them up). I used to have am 89 DX and I put an Si cluster in it. I now have a 91 DX with a 4 EX cluster in it so yes any model will work as long as you have the right year, just make sure you get an 88 or 89 if you have a 88 or 89 or a 90/91 if you have a 90/91. Good luck!!
