Default D16a6 head p and p

porting and polishing a d16a6 head. keeping it simple nothing radical. my question is about the exhaust and intake runners. the exhaust gaskets are wider around than the ports, so i am going to widen the ports out to match the gasket. the intake however are about exactly the same. i wasn't sure if i should use a different intake and gasket or what.

does anyone have experience with this that they can share?

id leave the intake alone. u want the exhasut as smooth as possible, and the intake u want rough so the a/f mixture can atomize, hogging out ports isnt the wy to go, id just go easy on ur first time

Exhaust ports should be smaller then the ports in the manifold. Intake ports should match.

Don't port the head yourself. That's the fastest way to screw up the flow profile.
