I can only imagine the a JDM d15b running on a pm6 would be a total turd. Unless you have some ghetto switch to engage vtec you are just running on the small lobes of the cam and making little power. Even if you have a ghetto switch you dont have the right timing and fuel maps to support the higher rpm lobes also equalling crap. You need to either keep the pm6 and chip it with turboedit to get the right fuel timing maps or convert the wiring to obd1 and get the right ecu. Either of these will make a huge improvement in both power and drivability.

What vtec ecu do you recommend? My bf just swapped a JDM D15B vtec into my 94 Si, and we're running it with a chipped P28 with a P08 base map burned into the chip. Also the engine seems happier with premium gas, but anyway this engine is a blast to play in.

Because you can keep the car obd0 if that matters to you and also it has a option now to activate vtec. Converting to odb1 you will need a conversion harness the ecu the distributor. Turboedit is free but also takes work to understand fuel timing tables. Its up to you.
