hello people i have a 88 crx with a jdm d15b but the ecu is a pm6 i have a problem the ecu is indicating a code 9 anyways i have a buddy that has a d16y8 for a 00 civic should i keep the d15b or should i swap it out for the d16 which engine has more potential does anyone know 1/4 mile times for crx's with a d16y8 at the track. What should i do ?????? please help me

I can only imagine the a JDM d15b running on a pm6 would be a total turd. Unless you have some ghetto switch to engage vtec you are just running on the small lobes of the cam and making little power. Even if you have a ghetto switch you dont have the right timing and fuel maps to support the higher rpm lobes also equalling crap. You need to either keep the pm6 and chip it with turboedit to get the right fuel timing maps or convert the wiring to obd1 and get the right ecu. Either of these will make a huge improvement in both power and drivability.
