hey where in Toronto are you? I just moved from scarborough to Markham (guess I should update profile) but we're hopefully gonna have a minimeet next weekend with a couple of guys from the resource and rpr board, its a free parts day at standard auto wreckers (45 bucks to enter, and anything you can carry out is yours), email/msn me at Dolemite016@hotmail.com

cool, i'm at mccowan and 14th

the mini-meet is this sunday (27th) so just email me and I can give you directions to my place and you can follow me to the meet spot

I wont be able to take my rex cause I'm in the middle of a swap (I was just working on it but had to stop early today cause of the rain)

but a bunch of us are gonna head to the wrecker afterwards so the matrix will probably be more useful

I'll bet you could advance your distributor as far as it will go without any problems, as long as you were using at least 89 octane fuel. It may run just fine on even 87 octane, but I've never tried it. If course if you use any other timing advancements like adjustable cam gears, all the rules are different. The timing advance I'm talking about is strictly the distributor itself.
