Do not invest in that engine, trust me... Either keep it stock, or swap it out... But please, do not put any money into it! It would be a waste... They are not capable of much, for the cost of an IM and a CAI u can get an A6 in there which has plenty of potential... And with maybe a couple hundred more u can have a ZC which has even more potential...

A6s are a dime a dozen, hell I have my old A6 block in my back yard still from my swap... Im sure u could find one local for $200-$300...

Yes, ZCs can be made fast, but he's talkin about doing work to a 60hp motor. It would cost too much just to bring it to d16a6 specs... Probably $1k or so. I would just forget about the d15 and swap it for an a6, if money's tight. U can still build a6s up pretty well...

240HP out of a stock D15 without internal work? Im sorry but I call bullshit on that... I dont think youd get much more than 180-200 out of a stock D series and thats pushing it...

Take a look at the timeslips on d-series.org... (I know timeslips arent acurate for HP, but its a good way to judge since they have timeslips, they probably arent lying about the HP)

http://www.d-series.org/forums/timeslips.php?

Very few ppl are pusing over 200HP and those that are have serious work done and arent just running boosted stock D15s...

And NONE of them are pushing 500HP... I have NEVER heard of anyone running 500HP on a SOHC D series...
