ls/b16 swap doesnt like to start in the mornings
k well i got this civic hatch from my friend for 1500, it came with an ls motor/b16 tranny swap in it already. The problem has something to do with the starter i'm guessing. he replaced the old starter since it wasn't turning at all and when it would turn it would grind on the flywheel. I'm guessing the flywheel is the original ls one and the starter is ls too so does anyone have any clue why it would be doing this?

your post is vague....
if starter grinds....replace starter, inspect flywheel (flywheel should be ok).
if your car doesnt crank at all.......look at the fuse end link that is on the starter. sometimes those are a loose connection.
i dont know exactly why a starter would grind...like the mechanic side of it....but if it does grind...the starter is bad...unless your flywheel has no teeth for the starter to grab...but that is really far fetched and unlikely
