wow so you are new thats the first time i have ever seen it spelled like that. ok first of all its vtec. you can find them any where you can start at rzcustoms.com, h-motors, quite a few places out there if you just look. and also why do you want the ecu? you are going to need more then that if you want to do a swap. good complete swap range any where from 1500 dollars to about 5000 dollars for stock motors. and since you have a civic you will need to buy the hasport motor mount kit, and shift linkage. any more questions and i would be happy to help, welcome to han

'92 LX? You're in the wrong section.
Pre '92 means before '92, as in '91 and older.
VTEC (Variable valve Timing and lift Electronic Control) engines use a simple hydrolic system to switch to a second set of more aggresive cam lobes at high RPM's to produce higher top-end power while keeping low-end drivability. Howstuffworks.com has a good article on how variable valve timing engines work.
