Default 92 civic block swapped for a 88 crx block??

My friend has a 1988 crx dx d15b7 1.5L engine that has bad rings and instead of replacing the rings we were wondering if we could change out his block for my 1992 Civic dx d15b2 1.5 L. The engine ran perfect when i pulled it and it only has 102k on it versus his 192k. would this be a direct change over for the blocks?? are the identical?? Im not sure if i have the engine codes in the right order with the cars, but you get what i'm talking about. Thanks for any info you can help me with.

You can use that block with that head, you just have to check the accessory mount points like A/C, etc. If they match up go for it.

Don't know for sure, but try searching the DPFI to MPI swap and see if anything head related has to be swapped over. They LOOK pretty damn close, I had to use the B7 cam in my kids B2 motor when I did the head gasket last month. I couldn't see any difference between the two.

Since I've got three B7 motor setup's and twp B2's, I will be searching the same thing.
