Default I installed Car Battery on CRX Backwards car not start HELP PLEASE!!!

well i was installing my car battery on my crx and wen i was installing the battery i did not realize it was backwards ... i put the positive into the negative and negative into the positive .. it just made sparks and then i tried to do it the right way and the car wouldnt start .. do i just need a new battery or did anything on the car damage??

You probably blew a few fuses. Check all of them, under hood and under dash.

It's also possible that you fried half the electrical system of the car.

LOL!!! I did the same thing with my old 89 SI. Blew a bunch of fuses, smoked two amps and a fosgate EQ!!! learned an expensive lesson that day!!!! But yeah check all of your fuses.

a buddy of mine did it to his crx it blew one fuse that was under the hood...im not sure which one but its not hard to check them

Check fusible links, main underhood fuse box does the starter sound ok?
DONT screw that one up again!!

you blew the battery fuse under the hood( i believe is the yellow color). I did that twice!!! Go to the junkyard and pick few of the cause pepboys sells them $3.xx each

i had a jack fall on my battery once (battery is in the trunk) and i run with no carpeting for autoX. that was an expensive mistake and im sure it took years off my cars ECU. be careful there champ, batteries have been known to explode when discharged quickly.

You will rele F*ck Up a battery that way. U need to get a new battery now too. Be Safe not SORRY!
