CRX 88 vs 90
Ok, so before i do my swap, im trying to decide on which car i should put it in. I own a 1990 CRX si with short ram intake and an exhaust header, and i have a friend who wants to trade me his 88 Si with AEM fuel rail, Intake. Now he needs the camshaft pully to return back to stock (wont pass smog visual) and a timing belt change. Now i was wondering if i should streight up trade him and just fix the problem myself or i should stick with my car and go with the swap.

If I'm not mistaken, the '88 & '89's have the seatbelts built into the door, and the '90 & '91's do not.
In my '89 si sometimes the seatbelts don't retract all the way (old I guess) and occationally a passenger will slam the door shut on the buckle, damaging my door jam
So I'm not a big fan of the seatbelts-in-the-doors. If I had an '90 or '91 I'd keep it. I think what I may do is get a 4-point harness w/ racing seats and get rid of my stock seatbelts, while replacing the door panels with those out of a '90 or '91 :dunno:

The 90-91 models also have a slightly different gauge panel, cluster bezel(that hood around the gauge panel), and different headlights and cornerlights.

Well i have a 90 and my seatbelts ARE built into the door. The 88-89 Si had the option of having the belts in door or on the car, the 90-91 was standard and the 88-89 had rear disc breaks also as an option, and for the final years it was standard.
